During the reconstruction of the Harkány Spa we established a holistic medicine department offering specialist's examination and treatments. Healing is in fact done by the human organism itself by using the natural immune system of the body. Nature is the most important healing power, and most diseases are due to improper lifestyle, therefore they are foreseeable and removable. Everybody must know how he fell sick by infringing the law of nature and how to recover in a natural way.

Ear candle :
The ear candle revives a two thousand years old ancestral therapy. It is curing or easing not only ear problems but also inflammations or pains emerging in the body. We recommend it to those suffering from ringing in the ears, rhinitis, sinusitis or complaints of dizziness. |

Cupping:
By stimulating the peripheral, vegetative and sensory nerve endings of the Head-zones on the back, we can stimulate the functioning of different internal organs and relax spasm - e.g. we can relieve pains in the stomach or ease fit of asthmatic coughing. During a more intensive and longer treatment it has a vasodilator effect, which means that it boosts local blood circulation, hereby accelerating degradation of roughage deposited in the skin, connective tissues and muscles. We recommend it against headache, backache, chronic lung complaints, respiratory infection, gastric and intestinal complaints, bilious and liver complaint and complaints of the urogenital and genital organs. |

Reflex-zone massage:
The state of the different organs and parts of the body is reflected on the sole. Massaging certain zones of one's sole congests the organ linked with the given zone. It also boosts lymph flow of the given organ, hereby assisting roughage elimination and strengthening the immune system. |

Body massage with honey :
This is a special detoxification treatment with a strong roughage elimination effect. It also has a skin lifting and tightening effect, and improves skin elasticity. |

Body massage with vacuum:
The vacuum congests the treated surface, hereby accelerating the metabolism of the tissues, and having a fat burning effect. Therefore we recommend it against orange skin and for eliminating stretch marks on stretched skin. |

Acupuncture:
An ancestral practice carried out through the insertion of needles. The practice is based on the insertion of needles through the skin at certain points on the body, normalising the swollen energy flow of the organs. These points are to be found on the meridians, and are functionally linked with certain organs.
We find the most suitable acupunctural points on places where these meridians are running at the shortest distance to the skin surface.
There is a possibility to successfully assuage pain or influence the functioning of the different organs by using this therapy. |
